first remove the front washer track by finding the two pressure clips that clench it to the circus tent hat. gently push the putty stab into the clips one at a time. this will raise and part them from the front panel. the panel will tilt forward and u canful now transfer it from the bottom clips by sliding it up and out. to open the top cover u hit the two 1/4 in screws on the sides of the forepart panel and lift the top. make sure to secure information technology in place operating room unplug the single electrical connector at the rear and remove the whole top from the clips, its really sagittate and the most convenient mehtod. to remove the straps u can now become to every four without much interference. there are two size piece of tail heads thus make sure u make a nut number one wood or small socket typeset. aft changing the straps i went to interchange the agitator coupling. the agitator pulled directly up without a problem. just put your two men under and pull straight ahead with one healthy jolt. the plastic coupler has one bolt in the middle that came out well with a small socket set. my trouble arose when the plastic coupler would not go off the metallic shaft. after a short time of pull and snoopiness i finally decided to trim down it cancelled. victimization a dinky metal saw and taking my time i put 2 cuts into the coupler. they were connected opposite sides and where vertical, running along the steel ray of light. i could right away split it in 2 and it came off real well and quickly. now when putt on the new one make sure the splines line up. push as far depressed as u can then use the center bolt to seat the gear all the agency falling. the agitator also has to be lined up to the letter. it also has splines on the indoor that allow it to line up with the coupler and merely push down until it reseats itself in place. substitute the top of the washer then the breast panel. preceptor't forget to rebolt the top venire to the frame. push the head-on panel in until it snaps into place. full switc time was about 40 proceedings and actually not bad with the right tools. Timer knob cracked double. Found out the timer switch was bad.

Removed the 3 knobs. They just tweak. Removed 6 screws on the back side of the moderate panel. The front (plastic panel and so just separates from the back). Bath seal leaked, rusted the infection mien which locked awake

I followed the book of instructions in the GE Consumer Service Grooming Technician Manual Pub. No. 31-10008.

I also power water-washed the basket and tubful before reassembly.

The tub seal comes with the transmission and brake assembly so it's not necessary to order another seal.

The agitator coupling kit contains a redesigned coupler and longer bed with new o-ring.

I bought the hub nut, split ring, bath bearing, fomenter coupling kit and washer hub because these are every last the parts that go happening the transmission shaft. I felt it was best to spend a few dollars more to replace every component involved with the spin and unrest of the automatic washer.

I used the convey lock and a hammer with a shortened plow to remove and replace the hub nut. Use caution as the nut is aluminum.

The entire job took 5 hours.

Automatic washer was not draining water from tub.

1. Knackered the wash tub by attractive the drain hose from the back of the washing car and dropping IT at a lower place the vat - urine flowed out of hose down a lot easier than difficult to bottle-feed water out of tub using a pump (proven this on the first time I tried to determine washer). (Washer on 2nd trading floor of household and didn't want weewe running happening floor)
2. Remote the 2 bolts holding the Heart/Motor assembly to the machine.
3. Removed both hose clamps on the Pump/Centrifugal assembly and removed Pump.
4. Attached the parvenu drain inlet hose to the pump and then to the tub with the original hosiery clamps.
5. Attached the drain hose to the pump and then plugged in the 2 wires for the pump.
6. Plugged in the washing simple machine and everything worked.

NOTES:
1. Hardest part was working with hose clamps (spring type clamps) in the miserly quad under the machine.
2. Easier to fix since I pulled machine separate few days before - removing the clog in the pump/motor assembly only to get ahead everything back collectively to learn that the centrifugal was dead. Still wellspring worth the time and drive attributable non having to date and buy a new Machine...

Only tricky part is you will indigence extensions for socket drive because belt is in the way for two of the motor mount nuts. I used a 1/4" small socket wrench, with an extension.
